Don’t know where I got THIS idea from, lol but what the hell right? I’ve got two years (well, a little less than two now with this already being a few days into July) to knock this stuff out. ย Don’t hold me to all of them though as some of it depends greatly on the status of the world’s human population and other random things I can’t control. :-).
Anyway, here’s what I’d LIKE to do over the next two years:
- Get back to weighing 165 pounds and keep that weight for a year.
- Do fifty military style push-ups, unassisted.
- Party scantily clad in the streets at Caribana in Toronto, and at the Notting Hill Carnival in London.
- Self-publish another four books.
- Take singing lessons / sing in front of an audience – karaoke most likely, but would love to get confident (and good) enough to do a simple tune at an open mic event
- Get my tattoos detailed.
- Ride a roller coaster in a foreign country.
- Stay at a five star hotel and not have to stress over how I’m going to pay for it.
- Vacation on a house boat
- Go jet skiing
- Ride a snowmobile
- Go white water rafting (none of that major adventure stuff, a few bumps and splashes for me, lol)
- Touch a live: tiger, elephant, camel, koala, panda, dolphin
- Learn Portuguese; be able to hold a reasonable conversation with a native speaker
- Attend Mardi Gras in New Orleans – watch the whole thing, parades and all from the comfort of my hotel balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. ย (do not want to be down in the crowds, lol)
- Get my belly pierced and then show it off at a beach without shame.
- Spend a week at an all-inclusive resort on a tropical island.
- Pay off my student loans.
- Get a set of vampire fangs made / custom fitted; wear them the entire month of October.
- Learn to ride / own a motorcycle – and not one of those weird-looking three wheel deals (no offence to anyone who owns one), but a sport bike that looks bad-ass but is just right for me (sigh, no Hayabusas, though I’d love to ride one)
- Have a custom-made riding outfit (helmet, jacket, pants, boots) that matches the custom paint on my bike <—see # 20
- Get a job that pays $10K or more than what I’m making now
- Spend a day in the city where I was born.
- Spend a day in the village / city where I went to pre-school
- Get my old engagement ring re-styled so I may wear it every day
- Get a completely new (hopefully tailored) wardrobe – 40’s, 50’s styles (think screen queens and pin-up babes ๐ )
- Vacation in Monaco,
- Ride the London Eye.
- Have dinner in Paris.
- Train for an amateur bodybuilding contest
- Ride Space Mountain at either Disneyland or Disney World (have gone to each park and both times, Space Mountain was closed for maintenance… ๐ฆ )
- Go kayaking (again, nothing extreme…maybe paddle for a few hours down a slow-moving river, or around a quiet lake)
- Go to the Winter Park Jazz festival in Colorado
- Go to the Essence Music festival in New Orleans
- Go to the Taste of Chicago
- Go to Scotland
- Go to Ireland
- Eat at ten restaurants featured on the Food Network travel shows
- Go to New York (see a show on Broadway, go shopping, and, see #38 ๐ )
- Spend some time getting to know my nephews (and possibly new niece…if it’s a girl)
- Spend some time with my best friend from junior high school.
- Enjoy at least one more trip with my mom (she’s turning 80 this year and still going strong, but eh…sadly enough, when they get to that age, you just never know. sigh)
- Attend the TCM movie festival
- Finish my TV script and send it somewhere for evaluation and possible sale?
- Finish learning how to roller skate
- Take a complete set of dance lessons (from start to recital in either hip-hop, burlesque or belly dancing)
- Take a pole dancing class
- Finish learning how to swim
- Do a complete split (and not end up in the hospital)
- Have the biggest, best attended, birthday party EVER in my life to date (on my 50th more than likely).
Thinking I may have to crowd-fund a few of these ;-). ย Oh well, time’s a-wastin’; better get started. ย I’ve got quite a bit to do.
You won’t regret number 36, just have a day in Edinburgh, and then bus it up to Loch Lomond. Beautiful!
I’ll be sure to put that on the list of ‘to-dos’ :-).
You have to go to the Castle, and at least SEE the Firth of Forth…
Oh you know I’m going to get to as many castles as I possibly can. ๐
Hehe, oh no, you’ll want to go to Edinburgh Castle, it’s right in the middle of the city, and it’s full of scottish soldiers…
Castles and kilted soldiers? I’m so there. Oh wait, you said Scottish, my bad ;-).
Oi, what’s wrong with scots? ๐
Not a dag-gone thing! I just stumbled a bit thinking of sexy brutes in kilts….whew!
Ha, brutes, eh?
Nice recovery btw.
๐
I thought you were in your 30s. ๐
Mentally and emotionally, definitely in my early 30’s ;-), lol.
Let me know when you come to TO for #3 – I’ll take you to lunch ๐
That would be awesome. I’d love to go to one of the many open mics you post about as well – finally get to see you ‘perform’ live :-).
I love your list!!
